STONY PLAIN -- A Stony Plain resident has been charged with drug trafficking offences.
According to Parkland RCMP, 43-year-old Amanda Mcdonald was taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at her home near 52 Avenue and 49 Street on Dec. 11, 2025. RCMP Corporal Troy Savinkoff says police recovered significant quantities of illegal substances during the search.
"We seized fairly decent quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, psilocybin, LSD, hydromorphone, heroin, GBH, as well as an imitation firearm, a baton, and several thousand dollars of Canadian currency," said Cpl. Savinkoff. "These are the types of crimes and offences that are hurting our communities."
The search was conducted in partnership between the Parkland RCMP and the Alberta Community Response Team. During the search, police also arrested two males at the residence on outstanding warrants.
43-year-old Amanda Macdonald is charged with:
- Trafficking a controlled substance (x2);
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x6);
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (x2); and,
- Possession of property obtained by crime.
She made her first court appearance in the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on Dec. 17, 2025.
