SPRUCE GROVE---- The city of Spruce Grove is developing a wayfinding program this year.
The program is meant to help residents and visitors better navigate parks, trails, and the city centre area. The city says there is a clear need for improved navigational and informational signage to enhance accessibility and user experience.
The new program will highlight indigenous history, environmental features, and use QR codes to get quick additional details. They note that it will create an easy to follow and consistent system that helps people feel comfortable and confident.
The program is designed to help people learn, connect and enjoy their surroundings in a richer way. According to Spruce Grove staff, an important aspect of the project is engaging with the community and understanding what's important to residents and visitors when navigating through the community.
Residents can take a survey until Friday, Jan. 16 to guide the development of the project.
