The Corporate Plan public meetings have concluded. Council reviewed the Recommended Corporate Plan and discussed Administration’s recommendations over the course of two evenings. The final Corporate Plan 2025-2027 will be presented to Council for approval on November 25, 2024, with the approved document published on the Corporate Plan webpage.

The Corporate Plan provides the resources and priorities to guide Town services, processes, and projects for the next three years. Each plan aims to achieve outcomes outlined in the Town’s Strategic Plan and is based on the vision and framework of the Municipal Development Plan.

“Each Corporate Plan is a strategic blueprint to action opportunities and address challenges. Proposed Tax Impact on Ratepayers for 2025

During the November 4 and 5 meetings, several motions were passed by Council directing revisions to the proposed tax increase. The result of these motions is a proposed tax increase of 7.41% for 2025 comprised of 4.91% plus 2.5% for the Community Recreation Facility. Increases to water and wastewater rates respectively have been proposed at $0.07 (1.8%) and $0.47 (12.6%) per cubic metre. Rate increases are the result of investing in the repair and maintenance required to maintain service levels as well as projects required to grow Stony Plain. The stormwater rate is set to increase by $0.25 (1.0%) monthly for single-family homes. In addition, the waste management rate was proposed at a 1.0% increase or $0.30 per residential property.
