Leduc RCMP – Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Hwy 39

Leduc County, AB

 On October 12, 2024, at 3:30 a.m., Leduc and Devon RCMP responded to a call for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Hwy 39 between Range Roads 261 and 262.

On arrival, one adult aged male was pronounced deceased by EMS as a result of the collision. The investigation is on going at this time with the assistance of the RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team and a Collision analyst.

The police presence has cleared from the scene along Hwy 39. The driver of the truck, a 41-year old male was arrested on scene for Impaired Driving Causing Death.
