Parkland RCMP on scene of serious motor vehicle collision – update

Spruce Grove, AB

On July 17, 2025, at 4:58 p.m., Parkland RCMP received a report of a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Jennifer Heil Way and Tri Leisure Way in Spruce Grove. Upon arrival, the driver of a motorcycle, a 40-year-old Edmonton resident, was deceased. The occupants of two other vehicles involved in the collision were not harmed. RCMP remained on scene for several hours conducting an investigation into the collision.

RCMP have determined that the motorcycle was travelling Northbound on Jennifer Heil Way when it struck a stopped GMC from behind. The driver of the motorcycle was ejected and then struck by the trailer of another vehicle.
