Parkland RCMP investigating youth assault

SPRUCE GROVE -- Parkland RCMP are looking to identify a pair of youths involved in a recent assault.

Mounties say that the incident occurred at approximately 7:37 p.m. on June 8, 2026, outside of convenience store near Spruce Village Drive W in Spruce Grove. Through their investigation, it was learned that the victim and a friend were outside the store when two unknown suspects approached and began striking the female victim while she was sitting on the sidewalk. This left the victim with minor injuries. When a witness arrived at the scene, the two suspects stopped and left the area.

The first female suspect is described as:

• Approximately 15-17 years of age
• Slim build
• Shoulder length hair
• Wearing grey sweatpants and a black jacket with hood pulled over head
• Carrying black backpack

The second female suspect is described as:

• Approximately 15-17 years of age
• Slim build
• Shoulder length brown hair
• Wearing a large purple/burgundy t-shirt and long black shorts
