Parkland County, Alta. - Parkland RCMP is currently investigating reports of potential police impersonation incidents involving a suspicious vehicle in and around Parkland County.
The vehicle in question is described as a Black Chevrolet Tahoe, possibly a 2015 model, equipped with push bar and a lighting package that emits yellow and blue lights. The setup may resemble that of an unmarked police vehicle and has reportedly been used in a capacity to mislead motorists by flashing lights as well as reports of erratic driving.
At this time, the RCMP would like to advise the public to remain vigilant. If you are approached or stopped by a vehicle matching this description and have concerns about its legitimacy, you are encouraged to:
- Call 911 immediately if you feel unsafe.
- Request identification from any individual claiming to be a police officer.
