SPRUCE GROVE -- Parkland RCMP seized drugs and firearms during a recent traffic stop in Spruce Grove.
Police say the traffic stop was conducted along Campsite Road on March 12, 2026. 38-year-old Michael Andrusiak was arrested on outstanding warrants and charged with numerous offences following a search of his vehicle. During the search, RCMP recovered nearly 400 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of crack-cocaine, 8 grams of meth, a pistol, a rifle, and ammunition.
Andrusiak, a resident of Whitecourt, was charged with the following offences:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking (meth)
· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (x2)
· Possession of firearm in motor vehicle (x2)
· Unsafe storage of firearms
He was held in custody and made his first court appearance on March 16, 2026, in St. Albert.
