Parkland RCMP investigate theft of vehicle and firearms

Spruce Grove, AB

On May 19, 2025, Parkland RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle in Spruce Grove.  During the investigating it was learned that four firearms and two thousands rounds of ammunition and some personal property were also stolen. The stolen vehicle was later recovered without the firearms and property.   On May 29, 2025, Parkland RCMP General Investigation Section, with the assistance of the Edmonton Police Service Tactical Section executed a search warrant in Edmonton and arrested a female suspect and seized two stolen firearms. Days later, the second suspect was arrested by Edmonton Police Service. 

Robert Michael Hill (35) was charged with:

  • Possession of weapons contrary to order;
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm;
  • Possession of a weapon obtained by crime;
  • Possession of stolen property over $5000;
  • Fail to comply with a release order (x2).

 Carmela Reid (46) was charged with:

  • Unsafe storage of a firearm;
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
  • Possession of stolen property over $5000.

Hill’s next court appearance is pending.

Reid’s next court appearance is schedule for July 29, 2025 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Stony Plain.
