Spruce Grove, AB
City crews are currently conducting annual forest maintenance in Heritage Grove Park, which will continue into early spring.
Maintenance work involves the removal and clean up of deadfall, dead standing trees, and invasive species, while improving the aesthetic of the forest. This work also supports the ongoing health and appearance of the park, reduces hazards and increases safety.
Conducting maintenance work during this time of year has several benefits as the trails are not as widely used and birds have not started nesting in the area.
The park and trails will remain open during this work and users are asked to observe and follow any detour signage.
