Neighbourhood improvements are transforming the green space at 4800 56 Avenue, now officially named ‘Hall Park’, into a vibrant community destination. Residents may notice construction activity in the coming weeks as the Town works to complete trail rehabilitation, install new public art, and upgrade the benches and garbage cans.
The community is invited to attend the Hall Park Grand Opening on Saturday, September 20, where the complete improvements will be unveiled. The celebration will also feature this year’s Gather & Grow Day which blends the best of Neighbours Day and Arbour Day traditions. Attendees can look forward to meeting neighbours, tree planting, crafts, and prize opportunities.
“Neighbourhood improvements like the Hall Park project strengthen our community by creating more welcoming spaces for residents to connect, enjoy, and take pride in,” says Mayor William Choy. “We look forward to celebrating this beautiful, revitalized greenspace with our community.”
Chief Administrative Officer, Tom Goulden, adds: “This project is about investing in quality spaces that serve our residents today and into the future. The Grand Opening is an opportunity to enjoy the results together, whether that’s walking the revitalized trails, appreciating the public art, or planting trees during Gather & Grow Day.”
This celebration is open to the public. For more information, visit the Parks and Trails webpage.
