SPRUCE GROVE -- Outstanding achievement recognition has been granted to Spruce Grove Aerials Gymnastics.

According to the City of Spruce Grove, the honours were handed out at their regular council meeting on Dec. 15, 2025. The goal of the recognition is to honour Spruce Grove individuals, teams, groups, and organizations who have accomplished outstanding achievements in the fields of athletics, literary arts, dance, drama, athletics, sport, or academics at a provincial, national, or international level.

In a statement, the City credits Spruce Grove Aerials Gymnastics for a strong year of competition. The organization competed in the Provincial Championships, the Compulsory Championships, the Xcel Championships, the Western Canadian Championships, and the Canadian National Championships, as members achieved various first, second, and third placements in their level.

"The number of events you've competed in and the way that you've placed so incredibly high in both provincial and national level competitions -- it's inspiring," said Jeff Acker, Mayor of Spruce Grove. "It's great to see the program continue to flourish and develop."

Spruce Grove Aerials Gymnastics has been a staple in the community since 1982.
