MASKWACIS -- A job and career resource fair will be taking place in Maskwacis.
The career fair will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Howard Buffalo Memorial Center and is designed to provide support for job seekers in every stage of the career track. Attendees will be able to explore a large job board featuring available local positions and meet directly with employers who are hiring for both immediate and future positions. Registration for the event is not required.
Residents will also be able to connect with support services and career consultants one-on-one in a low-pressure environment. This will include tips for fine-tuning resumes and cover letters, and optimization of online presence. According to the regional chamber, the job and career fair will serve as an opportunity to take the next step towards a rewarding job or career. Those looking to take part can also register as a job seeker to get event notifications and engage with hiring employers.
The collaborative event is being supported by both the provincial and federal governments, and will be hosted in partnership between the Maskwacis Employment Centre, Leduc Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Alberta Chambers of Commerce.
