On April 5, 2024 at 9:15 am, Parkland RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle head on collision on Highway 627 near Range Road 13a. The initial investigation suggests that weather, road conditions and speed appear to be factors in the crash. Both drivers of the vehicles suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries and they were transported to hospital by ambulance. An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist attended the location and the crash is still under investigation. The Parkland RCMP would like to remind motorists to drive to the conditions.
