Parkland RCMP on scene of serious motor vehicle collision- update

Spruce Grove, AB

On Aug. 5, 2025, at 8:54 a.m., Parkland RCMP received a report of pedestrian that was hit by a truck on Hartwick Manor in Spruce Grove. The pedestrian, a 9-year-old girl, was taken to hospital with critical injuries however died as a result of her injuries. The driver of the pick up was uninjured during the collision. Police remained on scene for several hours conducting an investigation.

Initial reports indicate that the 9-year-old was sitting on a skateboard rolling off the driveway when she was struck by a Dodge pick up. The investigation continues.
