PARKLAND COUNTY---- The Parkland Food Bank Society is encouraging local businesses across the Tri-Region to take part in their Corporate Food Drive Challenge.
The food drive is set to take place from Aug. 1-31 and aims to raise 10,000 pounds of non-perishable food for individuals and families in need. It's noted that 24 businesses took part in the food drive last year and raised over 9,000 pounds of non-perishable food.
During the challenge, participating businesses will be paired with a local counterpart and will be assigned a specific food item to collect throughout the month. The business with the highest total collection will be rewarded with the Parkland Food Bank Corporate Food Drive Challenge Prize Ribbon and will gain recognition on the food bank's website and social media channels.
The winner will also get a photo opportunity at the food bank and Braggin' Rights.
Interested organizations can apply for the challenge on the Parkland Food Bank Society's website.
