SPRUCE GROVE -- Parkland RCMP are appealing for information after a motorcyclist was hit by a truck on Highway 16A.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Highway 16A and Century Road in Spruce Grove on Friday, June 12, at approximately 6:44 a.m. Mounties say the female rider proceeded to make a right turn eastbound onto the highway when she was rear-ended by a pickup truck, causing her to be ejected from the motorcycle.
Upon arrival to the scene, emergency crews discovered the woman lying on the ground near the intersection and treated her for non-life-threatening injuries. She described the vehicle that struck her as a white company truck. Police are requesting witnesses with information, or anyone with dashcam video of the incident, to contact the Parkland RCMP non-emergency line at 825-220-7267.
