SPRUCE GROVE----The Economic Development Advisory Committee unveiled their 2026 work plan during this week's council meeting in Spruce Grove.
One of the priorities in the plan is the Industrial Land Incentives Strategy.
"We will work with administration towards development of the industrial land incentives strategy to deal with the current shortage of industrial lands and buildings," said Victor Moroz of EDAC. "We'll continue to support the smart start program as mentors to subject specialists."
Moroz says the committee will also review the city centre area redevelopment plan.
EDAC will also provide advice and recommendation towards the development of an Event Attraction and Tourism Strategy for the city.
"We're facing some big challenges, namely the industrial strategy but I also like that we are looking at what's trending," said Councillor Erin Stevenson.
Stevenson also mentioned that she's glad the city is hoping to capitalize on tourism.
