December sparkle is here with Wabamun's Winterfest

PARKLAND COUNTY---- Wabamun Winter Fest in Parkland County will take place on Friday, December 5th.

The evening will start at the Christmas Market in Jubilee Hall. Parkland County Libraries will also host a cozy Christmas movie and craft time at Wabamun Community Centre. Free beverages will be available at a Tim Hortons van along with horse and wagon rides.Children can also send letters to Santa through a small mailbox.

Residents are also encouraged to donate non perishable food items, cash and unwrapped new toys for the Wabamun Food Hamper program by participating in Stuff the Bus.

The Wabamun and District Lions and Club bowling alley will offer two games for $10 while Jingls will provide cookies and decorating supplies. The Wabamun & District Museum will be open throughout the evening.

To end the night, a fireworks display will be launched from the Coal Diamonds Sports Park, starting approximately at 7:45 pm. The county says the event is full of activities for all ages and is a means of bringing the community together in celebration and support. 

Winter fest will start at 5:00 PM in the evening and go on until 8:00 PM.
