Alberta RCMP Community Response Team together with assisting units seize firearm and drugs

Stony Plain, AB

On April 22, 2025, your Alberta RCMP Community Response Team, with assistance from Alberta RCMP Police Dog Services, Parkland RCMP, and Parkland RCMP Drug Unit, located a stolen Dodge Ram in Stony Plain. During the course of the investigation, police searched the stolen vehicle and the surrounding area, resulting in the seizure of:

  • 6.8 grams of Fentanyl;
  • 3.5 grams of Methamphetamine;
  • One Bolt Action Rifle;
  • Ammunition; and
  • Stolen License plate.

Alicia Flahr (31), a resident of Entwistle, Alta., and Kevin Loughran (35), a resident of Sturgeon County, Alta., were jointly charged with:

  • Possession of Stolen Property;
  • Possession of Fentanyl;
  • Possession of Methamphetamine;
  • Possession of a Firearm without being the holder of a licence;
  • Possession of a Firearm knowing that they were without the holder of a licence;
  • Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle; and
  • Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public.

In addition, Flahr was charged with:

  • Fail to Comply with a Release Order.

And Loughran was charged with:

  • Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited to Possess; and
  • Operate Motor Vehicle while prohibited from doing so.

Flahr was remanded into custody and appeared in Alberta Court of Justice in Stony Plain on April 28, 2025. Loughran was remanded into custody and appeared in Alberta Court of Justice in Stony Plain on April 30, 2025.
