Alberta Community Response Team locate and arrest prolific offender with stolen property in Spruce Grove

Your Alberta RCMP’s Community Response Team with the assistance of Parkland RCMP conclude a stolen property investigation.

 On Sept. 3, 2025, the Alberta Community Response Team located a female attempting to steal merchandise from Safeway in Stony Plain, Alta. Police identified the female as Amanda Coldwell and subsequently arrested the female in the parking lot of the Real Canadian Superstore in Stony Plain. As a result of the investigation, police seized approximately $400 worth of appliances which were identified to be stolen from the Wal-Mart in Edson, Alta. In addition, police seized a small amount of methamphetamine.

 Amanda Coldwell, a 45-year-old female resident of Edmonton was charged with:

  • Possession of Property obtained by Crime; and,
  • Theft.

 In addition, the investigation identified that Amanda Coldwell was on outstanding warrants for the following offences:

  • 3 counts of theft; and,
  • Fail to comply with release order.

Amanda Coldwell was held for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody and is to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on Sept. 23, 2025.
