Leduc, AB
On Sept. 5 and Sept 6, 2024, Leduc RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (LCRU) with the assistance of the Integrated Gang Enforcement Team (IGET) within the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT), conducted a warrant round-up targeting offenders with outstanding warrants in the Leduc RCMP Detachment area.
Officers proactively attended multiple residences and arrested offenders on outstanding warrants for a range of Criminal Code and Traffic Safety Act offences. In total, officers arrested 14 individuals, executing 20 outstanding warrants. Two new charges were laid against offenders under the Tobacco Act.
“This is a successful example of Leduc RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit’s utilization of proactive policing techniques to locate and apprehend wanted individuals within our community,” says Constable Chris Martel, LCRU. “Anyone who fails to appear in court, fails to comply with conditions of their release and anyone who continues to engage in the criminal behaviour should expect to see the police knocking on their door.”
If you have information with regards to the whereabouts of a person you believe has outstanding warrants for their arrest, please call Leduc RCMP at 780-980-7267 or your local police.
