LEDUC -- Alberta RCMP have provided details on a fatal vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday night in Leduc.
Mounties say that the crash took place at approximately 8:00 p.m. on June 14, 2026, at the intersection of 50 Street and Highway 2A. It's reported that two vehicles collided at the intersection, a Ford Fusion and a Ford Edge. The Edge contained three occupants, two of whom, both 55-year-old Leduc residents, were pronounced deceased at the scene. A third rear occupant was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
According to RCMP, the sole occupant of the Fusion sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. Emergency crews -- including a police reconstructionist -- were on scene for several hours throughout the evening. The cause of the crash is currently unknown and an investigation remains ongoing. RCMP sends their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and injured.
