DEVON -- RCMP are investigating after a fight involving multiple individuals in Devon left two people injured.
Mounties say they became aware of the situation at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. This comes after it was reported that a brawl involving multiple individuals was underway in the 100 Block of Michigan Avenue.
"Upon arrival, police located a 39-year-old male victim who was assaulted," said RCMP Media Liaison Theresa Martins. "Shortly after, police received a second report regarding a 42-year-old male who was found in the Athabasca Acres area of Devon, who had sustained injuries."
Martins notes that police were able to identify two of the individuals involved in the incident, and they were taken into custody without incident. However, she says it's believed that there were more individuals involved in the altercation.
"RCMP believe there may have been more individuals involved and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, has information about those involved, or has dashcam or surveillance footage from the area of July 8, 2026, to contact the Parkland RCMP at 825-220-7267," said Martins.
If you want to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Police also believe that this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
