The city of Leduc has paid out millions of dollars to settle claims of a toxic work environment made by dozens of female workers.
The lawyer for the plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit filed against the city three years ago is releasing the numbers at this hour.
The One News has learned, one hundred 55 women who worked for the city between 2002 and 2022 opted into the class action and received nine million, five hundred 27 thousand, five hundred dollars in compensation.
Robert Martz won permission to release the numbers in court at the end of March. The city had 30 days to appeal the court decision.
The lawyer for the city had previously argued the information should be kept confidential.
