Join us in Spruce Grove for our Beekeeping Principles Workshop. This session runs from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Spruce Grove Bee Maid Bee Supplies and covers a comprehensive range of beekeeping fundamentals and seasonal practices, including:
- Beginner practices and principles
- Hive setup
- Swarming
- Hive practices to help longevity
- Bee biology
- Building strong hives
- Installing a nuc or package
- Unwrapping overwintered hives and assessment
- Spring feeding
- Mite checks and treatments
- Location of hives
- City Bylaws and Regulations
- Q&A discussions
Upon completion of the workshop, each participant will receive a certificate of course completion and a $25 Bee Supplies gift certificate.
(Lunch is not included-please plan accordingly)
