PONOKA -- This year's Fall Fest celebrations in Ponoka are set to return on September 11.
The event, now into its fourth year, will feature an evening of live music and food from various local vendors. According to a statement from the township, this year's Fall Fest will run from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Sept. 11 along 51 Avenue between 50 Street and 51 Street, weather permitting. It's also noted that admission to the event is free and that tasting tickets will be available for purchase on-site at the festival.
In the lead-up to the event, the Town of Ponoka will be accepting applications from food vendors until Aug. 20.
"If you want to participate in this year’s Fall Fest, it's a great opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and introduce your delicious menu to a crowd of eager food lovers," reads a statement from the Town of Ponoka.
Food vendors looking to participate in the event are invited to contact the township either by emailing events@ponoka.ca or by contacting the town's head office via phone. Information on this year's musical lineup has yet to be released and will be communicated once known.
Motorists in the vicinity of this year's Fall Fest are reminded to drive with caution during the event, observe road signs, and watch for pedestrians.
