RIMBEY -- A new dog park is set to open to the public in the Town of Rimbey.
According to the township, the new park will be located north of the baseball diamonds at 3920 51 Street and fully open as of July 1st. This comes as crews with the Town of Rimbey have been hard at work over the past several weeks preparing the new dog park for its grand opening. This has included the installation of benches, picnic tables, waste receptacles, signage, and concrete.
Town staff say that the dog park will contain both an on-leash and off-leash section, and that residents are asked to abide by park rules. These include always picking up after your pets, and disposing of waste properly. The Town notes that they won't be responsible for picking up any dog waste.
Residents are also asked to always be responsible with their animals and ensure they are not chasing or harassing other animals or pets, or digging holes. Dogs attending the park should also be well-socialized and able to be controlled by their owner's voice.
