MASKWACIS -- Police arrested a resident of the Samson Cree Nation last week after the discovery of homemade explosives.
According to RCMP, the explosives were discovered after a search warrant was executed at a local residence on October 23, 2025. Mounties say the explosive devices that were located during the search were destroyed on scene by the RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit.
As a result, 32-year-old Terrance Bruno was taken into custody and charged with one count of possession of explosives contrary to order. The explosives charge came on top of an additional three counts of breach of a release order. After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Bruno was remanded into custody to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin on Oct. 28, 2025.
