PONOKA -- Lorenza Geuder will be seeking a spot on Ponoka Council in next week's election.
In conversation with 89.7 The One, Geuder says that some of her priorities would relate to public safety around schools and efficient snow and ice removal. She feels that her values would make her a strong community voice on Ponoka Council.
"I will make sure that I will be their voice," said Geuder. "There will be action in whatever problems that they want to tell me. I will make sure they know what's going on and what the update is for the problem."
She notes that one of her main priorities would be to ensure snow is cleared from school zones to ensure student safety. Geuder would also advocate for new stop lights at the pedestrian crossings and the construction of new playgrounds.
Ponoka's 2025 Municipal Election will take place this coming Monday, October 20. Geuder is one of ten candidates vying for a seat on Council.
