More Information (The One is not responsible for external websites)

November is Family Violence Prevention Month in Alberta. It is a time to increase awareness of the warning signs of family violence and the resources and supports available so we can work together to end family violence and build healthier relationships in our communities.

After a successful edition in 2024, the Tri-Municipal region comes together again to shine a light on the realities of abuse, offering awareness, education, and hope.

Join us at Heritage Park for an inspiring and informative evening of short films followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with Mona Gill (Edmonton Police Service Detective and survivor of domestic violence), Cat Champagne (Director, Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters) and Jill Dean (President, Lives in Transition).

Free on-site Kids Self-Defence Class for ages 6 and up and light dinner will be provided.
