BEAUMONT -- Two men were arrested in Beaumont after police discovered an illegal firearm inside their vehicle.
According to RCMP, the firearm was found after a routine traffic stop was conducted on New Year's Day by patrol officers. Upon approaching the suspect's Hyundai Tucson, officers say they first located an untapped/stamped tobacco product.

- Failing to comply with release order
- Possession of a firearm contrary to order (x2)
- Firearm offences (x3)
McMillan was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for Jan. 8, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc.
It's also noted that 33-year-old Cole Donald Morin of no fixed address was charged with three firearms-related offences. His next court date is set for Jan. 23, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Edmonton.
