BEAUMONT -- The Beaumont Curling Club will be hosting Grand Slam of Curling competitions this fall.
This comes as the 2025 GSOC will be taking place in both Nisku and Beaumont. For Nisku, they'll be hosting the Tour Challenge at the Silent Ice Center from October 14th to 19th. During that same time, the Grand Slam of Curling will host junior competitions in Beaumont, which will involve both U25 and U15 events. This marks the first year ever where junior competitions will take place as part of the GSOC.
The finals for both U25 and U15 divisions will then be played at the Silent Ice Center on October 19th, alongside the Tour Challenge finals. All of the local competitions will be facilitated by the Beaumont Curling Club, which is now seeking volunteers for a variety of duties. It's expected that both the Silent Ice Center and the Beaumont Curling Club rinks will begin setting up for the events around October 10th.
"In October, top curlers from around the world will come to Beaumont for the Grand Slam of Curling," said Leduc-Beaumont MLA Brandon Lunty. "Between October 14-19, Beaumont will be hosting a total of about 300 of the world's best curlers and up-and-coming talent, along with their family and friends."
