LEDUC -- Leduc's First Responder Food Drive is set to take place this coming weekend.
The Leduc RCMP is gearing up to fill their cruisers with groceries, essentials, and toys in support of the Leduc and District Food Bank. On December 6, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., officers and detachment staff will be at Leduc Co-op, Safeway, No Frills, and Independent welcoming residents to bring donations and help "cram" the cruiser for families and individuals in need this holiday season.
"We want to see the community come together and help everyone in need this holiday season," said Constable Lindsay McNab with the Leduc RCMP. "With the community's support in bringing in groceries, essentials, and toys for us to cram into the police cars, everyone in our community can have a great holiday season this year."
Joining the local Mounties will be the City of Leduc's Enforcement Services and the local Fire Department. Cst. McNab says the goal of this year's event is to help give back this holiday season by supporting those in need.
"The Leduc RCMP is excited to see the community come together, and thanks everyone for helping to bring extra joy and support to families this holiday season," said Cst. McNab.
Donations will be accepted at participating locations as well as online.
