This Towns Been Too Good To Us

Mandy Wood

Hello Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Parkland County and beyond! My name is Amanda, but most people call me Mandy. I was born in Ontario, raised on the West (or should I say wet) Coast of BC just outside of Vancouver, and have spent the past 16 years living in Alberta. Before settling our roots in Stony Plain in 2013, my amazing husband, Joe, and I lived in Fort McMurray and began raising our family. We have 4 daughters, all of whom have very unique personalities, but can agree that country music, martial arts and animals are a few of their favourite things! Speaking of which, we have a variety of pets, too. It is tough to say no to an animal in need! When I am not working, homeschooling our girls or running errands, you'll find me in the garden or yard during summer, and probably tackling a painting project in winter. I also tend to do some volunteer work around town, so you may see me in different aspects!

With my background in retail management, small business ownership and real estate, I bring to the table a unique view from different sides. You'll find I love a healthy conversation, and a good laugh! My hope with stepping into this position is to help bring out the essence of our communities: the small, locally owned businesses. If I come in to your place, I will take in my surroundings, enjoy the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or baked goodies, and admire handmade goods. I will appreciate not just what you sell, but why you do what you do, because behind every sign, there is a story.

I live local, love local, and look forward to serving you! Feel free to drop me a message!
