Shane was born and raised in Edmonton. He has a passion for photography and has been a professional photographer since the late 1980s. If you don’t find him behind a camera, you might find him in the sky. Shane earned his private pilot’s licence in 2005 and was a fixture in the Global 1 News Helicopter for 18 years as a reporter and camera operator. Combining his passion for aviation and photography, he has self-published four books featuring his aerial photos. His book “An Eye in the Sky Look at Edmonton’s History” quickly became an Amazon bestseller, offering pictures and stories you may not know about the city’s past.
