The Edmonton International Airport will be hosting its YEG Sustainable Holiday Market today.

The event will be held in the Ballroom of the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel on November 26, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will feature a total of 40 local vendors, all chosen for being local, sustainable, Indigenous, or youth-led. Nichole Thomson -- YEG's Manager of Social Impact and Indigenous Partnerships -- says the event will showcase artwork, jewelry, clothing, and more.

"This event is our way of kicking off the holiday season and bringing the region to YEG to shop for some unique local handmade items to give to their family and friends this holiday season," said Thomson. "As an airport for everyone, we hope this market will create opportunities for vendors of all backgrounds to connect with the public."

She says that attendees will have a chance to enjoy handmade gifts, live holiday music, and family-friendly activities. These include a children's craft table, a holiday photo station, and complimentary food and drinks. Donated items will also be accepted at the event.

"We'll also be accepting monetary donations, or donations of new toques, mitts, scarves, or socks for the Bissell Centre," said Thomson. "Anyone who donates will receive a ballot to be entered to win some great door prizes -- the event is free to attend and parking vouchers for the Renaissance Hotel parking lot will be provided."

Thomson notes that the Sustainable Holiday Market reflects the Edmonton International Airport's commitment to inclusivity, sustainability, and supporting local communities.
