CALMAR -- The Leduc RCMP will be hosting a community town hall in Calmar.
According to the Mounties, this will take place on September 23rd from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Calmar Legion. Speaking to the One, RCMP Constable Lindsay McNab talks about what residents can expect from the event.
"This event provides an opportunity for community members to meet representatives from the Leduc RCMP and the officer in charge," said Cst. McNab. "Receive an overview of the APP (annual performance plan) of local policing efforts and its successes, and ask questions and share any concerns affecting Calmar and its surrounding areas."
Cst. McNab notes that their goal is to hear directly from residents to ensure they feel supported, informed, and engaged.
"We just want to have an opportunity to connect with the residents there," said Cst. McNab. "So they can voice any concerns that they have, ask any questions, just to keep communication open with the residents of Calmar.
All residents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
