Ecole Corinthia Park School
A quiet end to a disturbing incident at a Leduc elementary school from nearly three months ago, leaving some unanswered questions.
Back in February, two investigations were launched after it was learned some grade three students from Ecole Corinthia Park School were taken into a bathroom and asked to show their underpants to prove they hadn't soiled themselves.
Black Gold School Division confirmed to The One April 26th it has completed its investigation. Here is the complete text of the statement sent by Communications Advisor Deven Kumar;
"HR has just informed me the the (sic) investigation has concluded, no criminal action occurred, and the principal has chosen to retire; no further comment will be made."
Principal Rhonda Brunken was still listed in that position on the school's website as of this morning.
BGSD has offered no explanation of what happened that day, why it happened, or whether the scenario has been addressed with staff to ensure a similar incident doesn't happen again.
A grade three teacher alleged to be involved returned to the classroom weeks ago.
An RCMP investigation wrapped up without finding enough evidence to lay criminal charges.
