MILLET -- The Town of Millet is welcoming a new nurse practitioner to the community.
In a time when communities across Canada are in desperate need of new local health care services, the Town of Millet has announced that a new nurse practitioner will be opening a practice in the municipality.
According to Millet staff, Prairie Family Health will be taking over the north side of the building at 5120-50 Street, which is located adjacent to the Museum. They say that this space will welcome a new nurse practitioner dedicated to providing vital health services to the residents of Millet. Nurse practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice registered nurses who offer a diverse spectrum of healthcare services, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and promoting health and wellness.
In a statement, the Town of Millet notes that the new practice is expected to be fully open and operating by the end of January. This will give local residents access to in-person appointments, drop-in services, and home visits for those unable to visit the clinic.
