Mayor Dwayne Mayr re-elected in Warburg

WARBURG -- Dwayne Mayr will be returning as mayor in the Village of Warburg.

Mayr was re-elected this past week via acclamation and will now serve his second term following the upcoming municipal election on October 20. He spoke about his top priorities for the next term in conversation with 93.1 The One.

"We're looking to focus on growth, keeping the community a safe, quiet community for people to live," said Mayr. "And also, to keep it appealing for those who are moving into the community."

Mayr was elected as the Village's first-ever Mayor in 2021, and says he's dedicated to making life better for all residents of the municipality.

"I really want to see the community survive and thrive," said Mayr. "Everything I do is with a focus on making things better."

He notes that over the past four years, Village Council has seen several noteworthy accomplishments. These include road revitalization projects and phase two of their local arena upgrades.
