LEDUC -- Several reports of suspicious activity in Leduc's Meadowview neighbourhood have led to the arrest of a male suspect.
According to Leduc RCMP, 29-year-old Dustin Yellowbird was arrested on May 29, 2026, after several residents reported suspicious activity in the area. It's reported that Yellowbird, while dressed in a black Chicago Bulls hoodie and beige mask, entered a residence without permission, then was seen entering neighbouring yards and behaving suspiciously.
He was located and arrested by responding members a short time later and charged with multiple offences. These included disguise with intent, unlawfully in a dwelling house, obstruction, and breach of probation.
"The Leduc RCMP would like to thank the members of the public involved in reporting this incident," reads a statement from the detachment. "RCMP encourage the public to report any criminal or suspicious activity to police. Reports tell us where to look, who to look for, and where to patrol in the future."
Yellowbird was remanded into custody and is set to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc on June 11, 2026.
