DEVON -- A three-vehicle crash just south of the Town of Devon is under investigation.
According to RCMP, the crash took place on Friday, June 20th, just after 9:00 p.m. It's reported that it occurred along Highway 60 at Township Road 503 and involved three vehicles -- a Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota Camry, and a Volkswagen Golf.
Police units with the Leduc RCMP along with other emergency crews responded to the scene at approximately 9:20 p.m., and upon their arrival, they discovered the driver of the Toyota Camry deceased at the scene. She's described as a 31-year-old resident of Gainford, Alberta. No other major injuries were reported.
The major incident prompted the redirection of traffic in both directions of Highway 60 while emergency workers responded. At this time, police say that an investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing. RCMP send their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
