DEVON -- Devon RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating a male suspect wanted for sexual offences.
48-year-old Darryl Labrecque was charged with multiple offences on October 10th and has avoided apprehension since that time. Police believe that he could have made his way to the surrounding communities of Leduc, Spruce Grove, and Stony Plain, and ask residents to be on the lookout.
"We are currently looking to arrest him on a warrant, and it's believed that he's actively avoiding our apprehension at this time," said Theresa Martin, Detachment Clerk with the Devon RCMP. "He's charged with sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and breach of his release conditions as well."
The charges stem from an incident between Labrecque and a person under the age of sixteen, though further information has not been released. While he's facing two counts of sexual interference, it's not known whether there is more than one victim in the case.
Labrecque is described as:
- Approximately 5’6”
- 123 lbs
- Brown hair
- Hazel eyes
If you see Labrecque, do not approach him, and instead contact the Devon RCMP at 780-987-3414 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
