LEDUC COUNTY -- Dal Virdi will be seeking re-election in next week's civic election in Leduc County.
Virdi has been the Division 3 Councillor since 2022 after he won a byelection with 53.7% of the vote. He says that if re-elected, he would continue to be an accessible and dependable representative.
"First and foremost -- I've never missed a call, text, or email, since being elected," said Virdi. "I've responded promptly to any concerns or inquiries, and nearly every file has been resolved successfully."
He notes that securing funding and building a new park in East Vistas as one of the top accomplishments he's been a part of during his time as a Councillor for the County. He says that if re-elected, one of his top priorities would be to keep taxes low for residents.
"The way we do that, is to have a very welcoming and strong environment for our businesses," said Virdi. "Our businesses are the backbone of Nisku, so I would continue to work very hard with our business sector."
He says that by creating an attractive space for new businesses and industry, Leduc County can boost its economic base while deterring industry from choosing the City of Edmonton instead.
Virdi will be up against Denys Prudius and Iqwinder Kaur in the October 20th vote.
